Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands-SKIDROW

Ubisoft week has kicked off over on Steam, and the first day brings us a huge saving on all of the modern Prince of Persia titles. The bundle on offer will not only save you 75% on the normal prices Steam uses, but it will save you almost a tenner compared to picking up the individual titles from elsewhere, brand new. It’s a great way to relive one of the better action-adventure franchises, which includes the time-shifting antic of The Sands of Time that relaunched the series, the incredibly emo-esque The Warrior Within, the conflicted Two Thrones, the questionable reboot in Prince of Persia, and the slight return-to-form in The Forgotten Sands. If you’re after this act quick, as this deal will expire at 6pm today.

After a series reboot that was met by a mixture of opinion Ubisoft attempted to get back to the time-stopping routes with their latest Prince of Persia title. Taking place between the excellent Sands of Time and the particularly moody The Warrior Within players once again take control of the titular Prince as he jumps, slashes and wall runs his way to saving the kingdom. On a side note, what genius thought a supposedly Persian prince should speak with a 'British' slant? Is that America considers exotic? On topic, though, the tie-in game, The Forgotten Sands, is now sitting happy at a sub-tenner price. It's not based off the film, instead rethinking the plot and characters and basing events around the eponymous Prince's ability to master the elements. A promising concept, and for a film tie-in it's apparently pretty good. Matt liked it, so you might, too. And at this price...
